Tell me why...

That's my Daddy, all dressed up!

This is how most of my friends and I start sentences. I know its poor grammer but its a habit.
So.. Tell me why... am I going to do a Tell me why post.

Tell me why am I addicted to buying stuff on Ebay... this week alone I bought 4 things.
and sold 5.

Tell me why do old people get dressed up to go no where!

Tell me why is my 2 yr old more well behaved when her 15 yr old sister is at school.

Tell me why will I spend $250.00 on a purse but was mad that celery was $1.50.

Tell me why do I want Chris. (the one from American Idol)

Tell me why do I love the rain. (Maybe its cuz I get to use my dooney unbrella)

Tell me why has it rained 26 days out of this month and yet I still wore open toe shoes almost everyday!

Tell me why swear words upset my inner peace now, but when I was in my 20s I listened to TuPac on a daily basis.

Tell me why in my dreams I am so hot I mean super model hot! ;) (I mean my real dreams at night when I am sleeping, not my fantasy dreams)

One more... Tell me why did I get "New york" in the "Which flavor of love girl are you?"
(dont forget to watch this weekend- the reunion show)

Ok tell me some of your "tell me whys" dont forget to tell me which girl you are!

Ok its 218am so I had better go to sleep. I'll watch Nick at night and get some zzzzzz's.

WHY???????!!!!!

So I was trying to get my hustle on and The man is just not trying to feel me. I have been selling some things on EBay, and pay pal does not credit money into your account for 3-5 days. But... When I pay for something they take that money out instantly--- Whats up with that.

I took some (OK a whole box) of books - good ones - you know I only read the best. To half price books (it's a store where they buy books.) Damm them trying to give me $5.00 yes that's five bones for the whole box... chumps I took my books back home with me and told them I would rather give them away then let them rip me off!

So I went to my Mary Kay meeting it was OK, I don't know my last director was cool I don't really know about this one yet, we shall see. (that's my other hustle)

Stupid baby daddies they don't know what kind of s--- I do just to keep these kids looking straight! I do everything on the up and up, it is so hard. I want my kids to be happy and have everything and more. I try to balance church, family, school, real world (non church) and keep a semblance of normalcy, all while being a single mother, this is not what I planned, I got married for reason,

Ok you could say you should pick better men. I married an Air Traffic Controller with zero children, parents who where still married, he went to college and did nearly 10 yrs in the navy, perfect credit and no debt, he was nice to me and my daughter, everything you could hope for... so I thought!

I blame it all on media... idiots watch to much BET MTV and listen to too much commercial radio. Not to mention Maury, judge joe brown, all the court shows for that matter. It is all poison... people we are being played, this is destruction of our children and ourselves.
Pay attention to to what you watch and more importantly what your children watch I don't care how old you are or if you are in "your" room , I will still monitor what is being watch.

Is there someone you loved and have never gotten over?

I can say yes. I don't know, well maybe I do,
It probably would have never worked out but its nice to think maybe it would have.
Its too late now, so I will just have to imagine, what if?
But if its all me, it would not have lasted anyway.
So maybe it is better that it never was.
At least this way we can still have the memories.

Yes that picture is my baby.

My Weekend

This weekend was jam packed…

Saturday morning The boy scout troop at our church hosted a pancake breakfast at 8am, My dad likes to go to Breakfast so you know we got up and went it was cool 10.00 for the family and the food was actually good (you can count on LDS people to cook some yummy food) Then we went to my moms and hung out with her for about 1 hour.

In the afternoon, we had an emergency preparedness fair, it was cool there where topics including Food storage, Water Storage, How to use wheat, 72 hour kits, I did the “Family emergency plans” booth , Basically how to locate family members if you are separated from each other. We also had the Fire Dept do demonstrations on how to turn off the gas and other things. The also had samples of food made from food storage.

If you guys are interested I can put up some links on these subjects… Don’t forget what happened during Katrina.

The rest of the evening I watched TV, I watched Dr 90210 and LittlePeopleBigWorld. I like both of these shows. You should check them out.

My Daughter went to a young womens’ event. They had dinner and listened to inspirational talks.

On Sunday My older child was sick, she stayed home from church, I went with my little one we where late but it was ok I enjoyed it, my little made me proud (I am such a stage mom) The teacher ask “who made the animals” and my baby yelled out Heavenly Father, and then said He made the rainbows (it just so happened that we saw a beautiful rainbow on Friday and I told her all about how Heavenly Father makes rainbows after it rains.) Her lesson was on Noah’s Ark – Perfect Timing.

In the Evening, There was a baptism, It was the first baptism That I actually cried not cry cry but little tears coming down, They had to put her under 3 times because 1st the 2 times her knees did not get fully submerged, And every part has to under for it to count.
But All in all it was beautiful; she is 21 with a 9 mo old and a 21mo old.

I guess that is all for now as you can see this was very churchy weekend.

Off to check out your blogs!!!!!!!!!

First of all you, will all have to forgive me for some reason the return button is not working. (in blogger only)
SO I thought I would share some of my wierdness with you ....
Before I go to the potty at home I have can of scrubby bubbles next to the potty and I wipe down the seat everytime. I just have this thing I don't want to sit my bottom wear any one eles has. I found out that one of friends does this also. ...
I also wash every (clean) dish before I use it, pots and pans included. ...
I keep purell in my purse and my 2 yr old has known how to apply this since she was about 15 months.
I wipe the bottom of my feet and my babies with baby wipes before we go to bed.
Ok that is some of the strange thigns I do. ...............
On to American Idol the recap...
Mandesa Looked good & sang good, I liked her hair, Simon gave her props.

Bucky sang Oh Boy, He was OK He has done better.

Paris sang Fever, Cute look great song made my dad sad reminded him of his mother.

Chris sang Walk the line now I am a Johnny Cash fan and I have to say Chris is the BOMB! I would buy that album today!

Katharine sang Rain or shine, it was ok she can sing.

Taylor Sang not fade away, this was ok I have heard him sing better, I liked the suit.

Lisa sang Why do fools fall in love, Not orignal did not keep my attention, she needs something...

Kevin sang When I fall in love, I guess Im not 12 or old so he was kinda boring my dad liked him.

Elliot sang teach me tonite, he pulled it out, I like him he can sing. In a wierd way he's cute. Sooner or later he will get his teeth fixed.

Kelly sang always walking, She can blow, not everyone likes country but this girl is going to be a country star. I think they put too much make-up on her.

Ace sang in the still of the night, I liked it but I think he is a little full of himself.

Who do you think is going home, I will say Bucky or Lisa or Taylor That is my bottom 3, we shall see.

its potty time

Today was very exciting for my 2yr old she turned 2 last month and we have been practicing going on her potty well........ today she went on the potty 3 times and all 3 times she asked to go! For all you parents out there you know how thrilling this is.

On Monday watched Trump. My friend came over and picked out some make up, she had a facial class at her house on Saturday, ( I sell Mary Kay) and she wanted to take advantage on her gift with purchase. She stayed until about 11.

Back to Sat. the facial class was really fun there where 6 ladies there and we had a Greek style lunch and chocolates, the facials and makeovers came out beautiful and everybody bought something.

I hung out with a new girl at church she is 21 and has a 21 month old and a 6 month old, both girls they are so cute, and tiny. My daughter sitting in the middle in the back seat of the car poked the baby in the eye, but then she patted her hair and told her not to cry how could I be mad at her, We went to the park and McDonald's. Then the dollar store.

On Tuesday I did not do much, My daughter had a concert at her school. I stayed for her part and then went home to watch AI, ran and picked her up on the commercial lucky we live close to the school I did not miss any one! I did not really dig Stevie night, I like Stevie just not sung by "idols". Chris was the best of the men and Paris and Mandesa and the best of the women.

On Wednesday I went to a scrap-booking group at one of the ladies in our church's house. It was cool, I finally got all the babies pictures in a book, I still have 9 cameras to develop. I do 35 mm and digital. This lady is also my 2 yr olds Sunday school teacher so the whole time she calls her "teacher" The teacher also has a husky (dog) he is so pretty, I told her, I would come over and walk him sometimes. Huskys are my favorite dog! Then I went to food max and stocked up I forgot how cheap they are I have been shopping at Safeway, well no more I filled my entire cart up for 87.00 dollars. I also stopped by the auto body shop and had my trunk fixed. It wasn't opening they didn't charge me, so I tipped the guy who actually worked on it ($10.00). He was a cool Mexican guy told me grew up in San Fran. My daughter went to her church activity they the young men where in charge this week so they did an obstacle course, and had treats afterwards, She was home in time for AI, I could not believe Ace was in the bottom 3, Wake up call~! Cute doesn't win every time. I like Chris, myself. That boy can rock!

Side note: Why is my dad watching BET right now and he put it on!

And that brings us to Thursday, I did so much to ripping and running, If you need a print out of your bank statements for the past 6 months and a money order where would you go...
If you said the the bank you are wrong, that's what I thought but it turns out b-of-a does not sell money orders and If you need a statement print out you have to call customer service!
So I went to the liquor store and picked up a m.o. and ran over to the library and printed out my own statement. I watched The Office, I think it is really one of the best shows (sitcom) on TV right now. Everybody loves Chris was funny also! My older daughter says she is Chris. I think we can all relate in some ways.

Sorry I have been having a blogging slump.... thanks for still checking me out!

P.S. BD blew another car so he is rideless now, I don't know what he is going to CS has kicked in so there goes new car money, Hope he doesn't skip out to TX, Mama needs her mula!

My 'puter is back!

I have too many things to talk about today. Last night I went to open house it was ok, I have to say my daughter has some strange teachers, one of the is her chemistry teacher he is a black guy about 5'2" and is also the BBall coach can we say "complex", He has triplets with a hispanic women and thinks he is cool I can see why my daughter cant stand his class, it is 1/2 full of kids that aspire to be in hip hop videos if you know what I mean. Well, I just hope she passes so she does not get stuck with him again.-- Her geomytry teachers where pretty cool, they co-teach, how that works I don't know?!! --Now her English teacher, he is a black guy kinda young Im guessing about 25-26, he was ok diddn't say too much, that I didn't already know, funny part is when we left my daughter said mom that is not my teacher I mean it is but he does not act like that, during the day he is crazy, he was acting for the parents.-- My daughters school is huge there are about 4000+ students (yes that's thousands) so I think I logged about a mile just walking from class to class. --Her band teachers raved about her which is no surprise. Her sign language teacher loves her. --She conviently forgot to take me to her 1st peroid class which is History, and which I am sure she is always late to. I thought about it this morning but it is too late.-- We did run into this cool teacher that was one of my brother and myself's favs we talked for a few mins and exchanged emails. (yes I went to the same school my daughter goes to, I am a townie) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am in to Idol this year I was sad to see Sway leave, he is from here and I thought he was cool . I like and hope to see in the top 12 Ace, Bucky, Chris, Elliot, Mandisa, Paris, Taylor and Kellie. If you want to put a face with the names click here. I am glad they kicked off Brenna she was to full of herself and not that cute. Oh and the one from last yr she made me cry with her song, Jesus take the wheel, Her name is Carrie Underwoos see I didn't watch Idol last season so I did not know her. But I bet her single is #1 today, I'm going to get it! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I almost forgot "Trump" as I call it, it was good they started out with a bang. I like the russian guy he is too funny I could watch him make side remarks all day, Right before the board room he told 'ol girl to keep her month closed and he would make sure she didnt get fired well Trump was just bout to fire the PM and she opened her month camera pans over to the russian he is just shaking his head, Well Trump is all, why did you say anything I was just about to fire him, she keeps talking so Trump fires her, and then proceeds to tell the PM she saved your a--, and get this the russian says "not for long" with the russian accent and ala Tony Soprano, I am telling you that is my new quote, they have to keep this guy around just for sound bites. Ok,I guess I will wrap this up and go check out your blogs.

Anyway I had to take a new pic, which I did not know and guess what my hair and make up was done and the pic came out cute, even the lady who took it said "Now thats a good picture" If I can I will try to post it.
I cant post alot right now my dad is waiting for me to take him some places.

Help, I am at the library!!!

OK folks Why is my low budget, blog addictted butt up at the library use the internet!
My stuff is not working so here I am,

Child support court was very interesting I can not tell you the whole thing because the Library has a time limit (1 hour) and I an down to 31 mins, but me and Bd went together and we had to wait for 2hrs 45mins we got to here peeps drama some was hecka funny, do you know hard it is to not laugh laugh in court at some gettho baby daddy drama. (yes you get to listen) These men they all claim they have no income thats some bull!!!!!

Well any way, me and BD ended up settling on 300.00 a month for now. Seeing as I have 2 bd's (dont laugh) I will be recieving 300.00 from each one not to bad but best believe we will be going back to court next yr.

He was supposed to pay 475.00 but some how through, thier computations they decided that 300.00 was fair for now. I know this sounds like I am greddy but I live in Cali And it not cheap here.

He was kinda pouty after we left but he said he understands its not personal.

I watched AI last night I like #5,#6, #9, #8 , #11, #12 of the men, you know I had to include olboy fron cali up in there I was hecka down with the guy who sang wanted dead or alive and guy who looks old but is younger than me.

Man when your are on a time limit.....

Well I guess that is all for now I guess I will have to come back to the library tommorrow,

Man how did I become so ghetto!!

I miss you Guys and Gals!!!!!!!

I have not been posting too much, because I have been having terrible back pain and headaches, I think it has to do with my sciatic nerve. I also have been to the Dr's a couple of times but they keep telling me it's stress.

I have to go to Child support court tomorrow Bd #2 ( my current husband) is ordered to pay 500.00 dollars a month, let's see what he ends up paying. BD #1 was ordered to pay 600.00 a month and got away with paying 300. The funny part is we are going together, since I can not drive for 3 more months. (That should be fun) He is coming over tonight to spend the night, we have to be there at 9am. He will be sleeping on the couch, no funny stuff.

I have been looking on Myspace there are a lot of fellas on there, but #1 - I am still legally married and #2 - I think I have lost my never cuz I am scared to meet some one online. Back in the day I would go anywhere and meet anyone.

My little one is doing good with her potty training, she is sitting and going at least once a day. She is still nursing everyday, I don't want to do too many things at the same time, so I think the potty training is the most important.

Happy Valentines Day, Everyone!

For Valentines Day, I made gift bags for my friends and we are going to meet at Starbucks, in the morning and exchange gifts, it should be fun! I made bags for my girls and parents also. (mom if you are reading this yes I made you one I hope I can get it over there to give it to you, soon) Who Knows, I might but myself something, if I see something, I did get my nails done with the white tips and and picked up "co-ch" bag. (you can figure out why it has no a) It looks pretty good though. It is a good size too fits all the baby's stuff and mine! I am terrible I always buy myself gifts, maybe I am a brat, but I like things that, cost a little more than what people would really want to spend, and to be honest I don't want to have to reciprocte at that level. So every is happy!

My dad has been home since wedensday, he is feeling pretty good. I wasn't to thrilled with the Dr's they didn't tell us anything or change his meds, just sent him home. I know he will end up back, I just hope it won't be for a long time.

We went to the Zoo today, It was my 2 yr old daughter's first time at the Zoo, She loved it! Every animal, Every display, She was into it. This Zoo has a chidrens zoo with lots of hands on exhibits. and a ponds with man made lilly pads to walk across, ofcoarse my daughter had to step in it 3 times on-purpose!

Since it was her first trip, I let her get a monkey watch and a elephant and tiger finger puppet and a bookmark with all the animals on it, she also picked out tiger bookmark and butterfly toe ring for her sister.

I am usally a cheapskate when it comes to gift shops, cuz I can find most of the things they sell at the thrift stores, but sometimes you have to let the kids have the experience of the real "gift shop".

Is anybody eles watching the Olympics, I saw some of the skating and those snowboarding hippys-- meant with love. I might watch some more, who knows!
Speaking of tv, Boondocks was funny. I think flavor of love is over they got rid of hottie and smiley. On MTV that "The Shop" is odd, I dont like it, also "game killers" is a wierd. Now I know why I don't watch MTV. I still like my reruns, cheers, sienfield, rosanne, fresh prince.

The Weekend

The party was a success, they kids all behaved and everyone told me they had fun. My older daughter and I worked our butts off and it was worth it, the baby has been going around telling everyone its my birthday.

She loved all her gifts, my friend all got her clothes and some little toys, I had told everyone she does not need any toys, My Dad bought her some dora shoes and scoks, My Mom got her some blocks and a really cute Elmo music/coloring book. My husband got her a dora chair, which she loves she screamed and hugged it when she saw it. Myself and my daughter picked her out some toys a CPK kid and a memory game, some dora slippers, and some other things.
I am glad I did simple but good food it was all laid out so when people came in the could just eat.

There was a funny part when we sang happy birthday a little boy blew out the candle so we relit it and my daughter blew it out then he cried, he is only 2 so he didnt know any better.

The Party lasted about 2 hours which I think is perfect for little ones and then we still had the rest of the saturday left, we went out to dinner and my daughter got her hair done in long layers.

In the moring when the baby woke up she said come on sister lets go see my birthday party, she loves the ballons and the decorations so I am going to leave them up for a few days.

On sunday I went to church and my dad called me and said he did not feel well and would I come home so I did and we ended up going to the ER, We waited for 1.5 hrs to be seen, it was a full house.

They all know my dad B/C he has been in the hospital so much in the past 3 yrs. So they took him back and then did a compleate work up on him turns out his blood sugar was critically high , his blood Count was reallly low so he needed a transfusion and his amoina leves were really high so they started him on some lactose to bring them down, needless to say he is in the ICU, I am going back when my older one gets home from school, Last night the baby was really concerned for her grandpa or Bapa as she calls him. She wore his hat home and told him she would bring it back tommorrow, She is real protective of her family and did not want any one to touch her bapa but I explainned that the doctor was going to make her bapa feel better, she understands the her bapa is sick she will ask him if he needs help and put her hand out to help him off the sofa.

I guess its because he has been sick all her life the 1st year of her life we were in the hospital at least once a month, and then he would be there for 3-5 days each time, I am the kind who camps out at the hospital , my kids know how to pack a bag ( snacks, toys, books, blanket) cuz they know we are going to be there awhile.

I like to make sure I get all the info and ask the Drs questions. My dad might forget or something. Well you are probably wondering what is wrong with him, He is on the liver transplant list for chirrosis of the liver and he has diabetes, he did not get diagnosed with the liver problem for a long time because they just thought it was the diabetes at first and he was not a big drinker and once he was diagnosed with the diabetes he stopped drinking even socially.

I could fill pages with all that we have gone through in the past 3yrs but I will spare you, but if you ever need to know any thing about liver failure please ask. I can tell you what to ask the doctor and what are some of the early signs, one thing I can say is be careful with your drinking, cirhosis of the liver is no joke. Only 1/3 of the people who need livers will get one and the whole give someone a part of your liver thing is not as easy as it sounds.

Sorry to be so dramatic but I see people drinking and dirinking and not knowing that in 25 yrs when they are getting ready to retire and and enjoy thier grandkids they will be too sick to even pick them up. Never mind that medicare does not cover the medicine they will need, My Dad has to pay for that out of his pension. His wasn't preventable from what we know, but cirhosis from alcohol is.

Friday, February 03, 2006

Well yesterday I turned into Japanese day.
I went to lunch with my 2 yr old, We went to The Sushi Boat, It was really good I love those little boats with all the yummy sushi floating past. We had a little of each. I also had the salad, I do not know what that dressing is but it is the best.

After lunch we where walking past the movie theater (they are right next to each other) and I decided to go in, Now I have never gone to a movie by myself (yes I had my little one but I mean some one to talk to or decide on the move with) so as corny as it sounds, it was kinda exciting.

We saw Memoirs of a Geisha, I am sure all the people in there where like great a baby, but she did pretty good, I bought her some candy and some sunny D, not a good idea she threw up, but other than that she did good and fell asleep half way through the movie.

The movie was good, now I did read the book about 4 yrs ago, so I knew what they left out. But I still did enjoy the movie, I rarely go to the movies but, I would see this agian or buy the dvd. It is a sort of cinderella story; if you will. By the way, Ken Watanabe is hot. If you are guy and are looking to see cute asian women half naked, don't go see this movie that's not what it is about! Ladies this is the kind of movie to see with your girlfreinds. All in all, I give it 9 out of 10.

Ps. Read the Book

My older daughter has switched over to the French Horn, Yesterday was her first day with the instrument. I think it is pretty, I dont know about the sound yet. She is excited, she says she hated the clairenet. I hope she does well.

Tommorrow is the baby's 2nd b-day, so I have to get everything done today, as the party is at noon, tommorrow. I will post about that on monday. It should be fun!

Side note: This is the coolest thing, I bought it at rite aid after Christmas for 75% off and just started using it this week, you can mix your smoothie or anything right in the cup then turn it over put on a ring and drink up. I am sure you have seen the infomercial, late at night!

If I don't blalk to you, have a great weekend.
Blalk = (blog+talk)

It's almost #2's Big day!
She's going to be 2! (already)
I was just yesterday that I brought her home.
It goes by so fast, I remember when i could not put her down, and I had to take the worlds fastest showers and she would not take bottle until she was 5 months. Now she is talking in full sentences telling us what she wants for dinner and what we are going to watch on TV. I will have to do a full post on her milestones on her birthday. But for now here is the birthday run down!!!

THE THEME:
We are having a sesame street party for her, she loves her some SS. Believe it or not it is hard to find party supplies with all the characters on them most are Elmo olny and I wanted the whole gang. So I did find some plates, cups and napkins with Elmo, Big bird and Cookie Monster on them, At the dollar store( that place never fails me) I went to the party store 1st and they only had elmo or items with one of the SS monsters on them and they are 3.59 ea pack of 8 vs 1.00 a pack of 8 at the dollar store. I got the all the little toys and candy for the gift bags and red and yellow utensils and a red and a blue table cloth. I did get the Ernie gift bags, Zowie napkins, the Happy birthday banner and SS steamers at the party store. I ordered ballons at the party store and a giant Dora ballon, I know she's not from Sesame street, But when we where at the party store she really loved that ballon.
My husband also bought her a bubble blowing machine its pretty cool it blows about 100 bubbles a minute. I think the kids will love it.
THE CAKE:
I am going to bake and decorate the cake myself I bought some Elmo, cake toppers and today I am going to look for some other characters to add to it.

THE GAMES:
The kids are all 4 and under so, I am going to let them decorate a foam door knob hanger with some of those foam sickers and glitter and When they 1st arrive there will be crayons and SS pics to color on the coffee table. After they eat (depending) I also have a little tub of playdo for each of them.

THE FOOD:
Its at lunch time, So for the kids, Crustless PB& J, Cantalope and grapes and juice or milk.
For the adults , a veggie tray, pinwheel sandwiches, hummus and pita bread and juice, soda and bottled water to drink.

I am also going to get her a pinata, if I find a SS one. Seeing as the kids are so little I will probably just let them grab a couple of hand fuls of candy out of it.

The gifts:
After Chritmas, I hit the 75% off sales and picked her up a bunch of toys, I even got a cabbage patch kid for 75% off.
^^^This is the party I "planned".^^^
We shall see how it really turns out seeing as I will have a 4 yr old, three 3 yr olds, three 2 yr olds, and a special needs 7 yr old, and a 11 month old and thier parents my parents and my 15 yr old. It may be kids running around screaming knock & my Dad's thrift store finds onto the floor. :)

Has any else braved the 2 yr old b-day party, how did it go?

Tonight I went with my daughter to her young womens program,

I really enoyed it began with the song "I'm trying to be like Jesus" and then the opening prayer given by my daughter. The first talk was given by my Freind Andrea, who is the YW President, basically she went over what the girls will be doing for the upcoming year and some of the things they have already been doing such as making baby blakets for women in the church who have babies, and working on thier personal progress books, Personal Progress is a goal they set and by doing certian things in their books, they can earn a medallion and more importantly learn values they will use for the rest of thier lives.

Next the YW Presented the Young Women Values:

The Young Women Theme
We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us,and we love him.
We will "stand as witnesses of God at alltimes and in all things, and in all places..." as we strive to live the Young Women Values, which are:

Faith
Divine Nature
Individual Worth
Knowledge
Choice and Accountability
Good Works
andIntegrity
We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values,we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.
(See Mosiah 18:9)

One girl at a time went up and said a value.

They then presented a really cute skit , I will condense it and just say, They where pretending to have a slumber party and talking about boys and the prom, while one girl was trying to make a dress, they all encouraged her and talked about the young womens values while she compleated the dress. They even had little songs for the values.

Then a women from our church (Mary) gave a talk on being more like Jesus, One of the parts of the talked that I liked was when she was talking about dealing with her children or things in her home the needed to be done and when she get upset or not want to do something she would think would Jesus get upest like this or would Jesus live in a house like this? She also told a story about a crippled boy who worked at a trian station many yrs ago and how a man in a hurry knocked over his stand and kept going and the another man stopped to help the little boy clean up and gave him $5 and told him this should cover your loss. The little boy looked up at the man and said are you Jesus Christ, He said No son but I am trying to do as he would do.

She told the girls we all understand that they are living in times that are very different, but that they still need to keep this thought in mind.

She then gave each girl a trian car with this quote tied around it;

"the man stopped as the boy asked, Are you Jesus Christ? "
"By the look on his face, It was obvious the commuter was embarrassed by the question. But he smiled and said "no son. I am not Jesus Christ, But I am tring to do what he would do if he was here"

There where two more Speakers one from the Bishopric and the other from the 1st conselor (susan) to the YM. They where also good but basically reiterated the theme of being like Jesus.
There was also a hand out from susan it said;
Many times true winners in life are those who have been hurt and dissapointed but have risen above these challenges. Very often in life God gives us difficulties to bring out the best in us. Life does not determine winners. Winners determine life!!
The closing song was "Come, Follow Me"

A closing prayer and refreshments summed up the night.

The refreshment were, bite sized pumkin pies, and kripy kreame donughts with lemon aid.
